WHAT IS A TOBACCO SILK?
In the early 1900's, U.S. tobacco companies produced a variety of tobacco silks that were included free with cigarette packs. Popular subjects included actors, animals, flags, baseball players, and U.S. Presidents. Around 1910, there was a four-year period when the theme focused on U.S. Colleges and Universities. There are very few of these one-of-a-kind collectibles remain today!
These silks feature your school name across a vibrant silk color color. At Americana Memories, we have attractively framed these pieces for your enjoyment; to rekindle old memories, celebrate graduations and acceptances, and of course, brag about your school.
